The day he was due to be charged the police were going to hand deliver the charges. This was due to the change in bail conditions.
I was on tenterhooks. Waiting for the call. When it came it was met with more frustration. When the attended his address they discovered he had moved. More anxiety. They contacted his solicitor and were notified of his new address. They arranged for him to come to the station in a few days time.
He was finally charged, at the front desk (because he wasn’t on bail). It was being sent to Bromley magistrates court in a few weeks time. They would apply for remand/bail conditions, and from there, it would be sent to a crown court and we would get the date for trial.
Once remanded or on bail I could begin to feel safe again.
