Once we knew which court it was we could arrange a visit.
I received a call from witness services for an assessment. It was a call centre with a script. They promised that the local witness service would call. They never did.
My ISVA (F) arranged my first visit to court. I got to see a court room. What the screen looked like. What it was like to stand in the box. To see the oath. To see the witness service rooms. It was a combination of terrifying and comforting to know, in advance, what to expect. I could go back as many times as I wanted. I went again to M. I think I must have seen nearly every court room! We wouldn’t know which court it would be until it was listed the Friday before trial.
